We believe the business community is an integral part of the livability of any city.  The GPBA has made the commitment to enhance the culture of Preston while promoting the growth of the community that will help insure the future of Preston. The Preston area has excellent schools, low unemployment, exceptional medical personnel, an outstanding health care facility, and city and county governments. We have a culture rich in music and art activities available for the entire family to enjoy.

Preston is surrounded by beautiful mountains—you can go hiking, biking, snowmobiling, camping, cross country skiing and more!  We also have numerous lakes and streams where you can swim, fish, water ski, boat or float the Bear River.

The county has a rich and varied history with Franklin being recognized as Idaho’s oldest city and the Oneida Stake Academy being one the state’s oldest standing education facilities. The historic Battle of Bear River took place just north/east of Preston, and of course Preston has its own Napoleon Dynamite.
