Preston Festival of Lights



Saturday, November 3rd, is the "Festival of Lights Dinner" Come join us at the PHS cafeteria filled with beautiful Christmas decorations. A candlelight feast will be entertained by Michael Ballam with a live auction following the feast. Dinner will begin at 7:00 pm. Tickets are $20.00 and can be purchased at the Chamber of Commerce, 49 North State. Seating is limited. The meal is being sponsored by Nancy Hubbard of Hubbard Catering and Saundra Hubbard.

Saturday, November 17th is "The Lamplighter Celebration" Many local talents are part of this Christmastime performance. Singing and dancing will fill hearts with the Christmas spirit. The Lamplighter and Queen of Lights will be honored. These individuals are outstanding members of the Community who have given service and made a difference. They will be featured in the Grande Lighted Parade. Come and enjoy this fun filled night with your family. Tickets are $3.00 a person, family passes $10.00, children 5 and under are free.

On both Friday and Saturday, the 23rd and 24th this schedule is the same. 3:30 - Free Kids Movie - Worm Creek Opera House

  • 5:30 - Pre-Stage Show will begin on the Festival of Lights Main Stage. (Where the old Dollar Store was)
  • 6:00 - Main Stage Show also on the Festival of Lights Main Stage.
  • 6:30 - Festival of Lights Grande Lighted Parade on State Street.
    (If you would like to have a float in the parade call Andrea Jensen at 852-1263)

  • 1:10 PM - International Bed Race Parade - State Street
  • 1:30 PM - International Bed Races - State Street

    The kids will take center stage as we have the Kids Day Parade starting at

  • 2:00 PM. Afterwards you can share your wish list with Santa Claus at the Santa House by US Bank following the parade. Cookies and hot chocolate will be served.
  • 2:30 PM - Kids Program on the Main Stage
  • 3:30 PM - Kids Free Movie - Worm Creek Opera House
  • 5:30 - 6:30 PM is listed above.
  • 8:00 PM - Bar J Wranglers Concert - PHS Gym, tickets will go on sale November 1st, available at the Farm Bureau office (208-852-2364).
